Here are some more images from bike packing in Oman! Seriously an interesting country. It was a little tough to do landscape photography traveling by bike, but we tried to camp in spots that had some options. All but the first image were taken with the 25-200mm.

Got to spend a little time in this awesome village in Nepal that was hike in only. They were building a road when I was there, so probably feels a little different now.

This is on of the more difficult comps to make work that I’ve shot. Hopefully it doesn’t look like that in the image, but in person there are SO many elements you have to deal with and get right. I’ve shot this scene in a bunch of different conditions and this is the first time I’ve been pretty happy with it. Handheld

Midnight in Iceland. It’s hard to beat driving through Iceland in the middle of the night, in beautiful sunset light that can last forever without seeing another person the entire time.

And then I fell in love with the wind again |
Wondering if the birds revel in the challenge of
sticking the landing | How intriguing to stand perfectly still, leaning far forward with eyes closed moving so quickly through the world

Build the wall of twigs too well and we can’t escape | Forever trapped and afraid to move | To poorly and we are devoured and fall frozen to dirt | We must teeter over sharp edges into the gale and get ripped back | Again and again

There is something so alluring about walls so thin you can see right through and hear every sound and feel every stone underneath | Just enough material to take the sting from the cutting rain and the burn from the sun

I led a life of comfort and safety | For a minute or maybe more | Trapped inside my glorious bubble of silky soft sheets and deep foam I sank all the way into | Layer upon layer to dull every sense until there was nothing left

You want to be pulled apart and etched clean | Spiraling down forever than caught and pulled back | Always knowing this might be the time you crash down and break apart into a thousand pieces of glass

Just me enjoying an awesome night in Norway a few years back. I slept just a few feet away from where I was sitting here rolled up in a tarp. That was a great place to get a few hours sleep:) Tripod set on interval timer to get the shot. Single image.
