Here are all of the podium pictures from the other half of the day and the trophy pictures!

MC girls’ 4x2 took 3rd!!

Creyton placed 3rd in the 400!

Rayla took 6th in the 400!

Elena and Elise in the 300m High hurdles placed 5th and 7th!

Liam got 7th in high jump!

Creyton placed 5th in the 200!

Rayla placed 5th in the 200!

Maggie won the discus and broke her PR AND broke MC’s girls’ discus school record… again!

MC Boys’ 4x4 took 4th!

Finally, the MC girls’ 4x4 took 3rd to gain the edge and win the state championship as a team in the final event of the meet!

Team wise: the girls won state with a score of 52! They were behind Christian Fellowship heading into the 4x4 by 2 points and the six points from the 4x4 took the win!

The boys’ 4x4 tipped the scale in favor of their team for 4th place with 28 points. Their 5 points took 4th from Hermitage!

My first state track meet and season as a whole was awesome. Thank you to all the athletes and coaches for letting me be around with a camera!

But!! Congrats to the MC boys on a 4th place team award!

And BIG congrats to the MC girls! State champions! Came down to the 4x4 and they had to beat Rock Port!

Halfway-ish update!

DeBee didn’t make it to finals in triple jump, but congrats on an amazing season!

Elena Gillenwater and Elise Dudeck placed 4th and 6th in the 100m hurdles!

Creyton Roup placed 8th in the 100m dash!

Mound City girls’ 4x200 took 3rd!

Next up, Creyton in the 200 at 1:40pm, Rayla Hufford in the 400m at 1:55pm, Elena and Elise 300m hurdles at 2:25pm, Creyton again in the 200m at 3pm, Liam Derr at 3pm as well for high jump, Rayla again for the 200m at 3:15pm, the boys’ 4x4 at 4:15pm, and finally the girls’ 4x4 at 4:40pm.

Maggie is throwing in prelims now, but she is in first in her flight, so should go to finals!

Final update of day one in Jeff City!

All of Mound City Prelims made it to day two and into the finals of their respective races!

Congrats to Jaylynn Wilmes for an exceptional season. She didn’t place top-8 in shot put, but making it to state is an accomplishment of it’s own!

Tomorrow at 9:30am; Chloe DeBee jumps in the triple jump.

After DeBee, the running events start at 10:30am. Mound City does not have anyone running until the 100m hurdles at 11:20am, give or take! Running events for MC go all day until the girls 4x4 at 4:40pm.

Update on today’s events!

South Holt’s 4x8 boys ran earlier today. They did not medal, but put in a good fight.

DeBee jumps tomorrow morning.

All of the athletes/teams for Mound City have advanced to tomorrow as of now. Biermann is jumping right now, and Wilmes and Osburn are going to be throwing shot here soon!
