My son, Ryan, and I were at Woodlawn Cemetery (Toledo, Ohio) yesterday looking for a very special butterfly unique to the habitat there. I did not locate that species, which is a Harvester, and happens to be one of my favorite bugs.

I did make some time to capture my son with the old Woodlawn bridge in the background. It was a tough day, for the wind kept blowing my softbox 😊and so I would have to wait for it to kind of slow down and also, it was cloudy and the sun kept going in and out from behind the clouds messing with my exposures. 😊But I did manage to get a shot in.

It was an honor to attend the Clay High Memorial Day event to reflect on the military service men who gave their lives in service to our country.

Pictured here is Master Chief Edward Byers, a Navy Seal who was awarded the medal of honor for a rescue mission of an American doctor back in 2012. His father graduated from Clay High back in 1945, which just so happens to be when World War II ended.

It was an honor to attend and photograph the BWIAB Birder Prom event held at Maumee Bay State Park's ball room on May 15. It was a pleasure to hear the gorgeous Ms. Bonner Black and her Martin perform at the event.

My son and I went on an adventure at Pearson Park for some Mother's Day fun. We scored a Pileated Woodpecker and a cute, little Ruby Crowned Kinglet that was on the move.

It was a pleasure to photograph Clay High starting pitcher, Darin Fussell, last Monday against the BG Bobcats. His pitching mechanics were very consistent and I am very happy with the results.

I was on a walk with my son, Ryan, at Pearson Park yesterday and saw many beautiful Wild Geranium flowers along the sides of the trails.

I had some fun shooting at the Clay Eagles Varsity Softball game last Friday. The pitcher was amazing. She would fall into this MJ position in her pitch routine. I thought it was pretty cool.
