Mourning Dolls is a creative coven
A group brought together by a shared vision, artistic expression, and storytelling through photography. By definition, a coven is “a group that comes together for a shared interest or hobby.”

While traditionally associated with witchcraft, our coven is rooted in creativity. We plan and bring photoshoots to life, empowering one another and creating a space where

everyone belongs and contributes. To us, the end result is magic. Mourning Dolls is a safe and inclusive space. We welcome everyone, regardless of beliefs, background, status, sexual orientation, age, or race. What matters here is respect, creativity, and a willingness to be part of something bigger than yourself.

After months of rebuilding and making exciting changes behind the scenes, Mourning Dolls is entering a new chapter, and we can’t wait to share it with you.

We’ll be at GothiCon all weekend talking about everything that’s new, what these changes mean for our community, and how you can get involved. Stop by our booth to meet the Dolls, ask questions, and learn more about the future of Mourning Dolls.

One of our biggest changes is that we’ve eliminated membership fees, making it easier than ever to become part of our creative community.

This month's Mourning Dolls photoshoot transported us into the enchanting world of the Seelie and Unseelie Gardens.

Inspired by the contrast between light and dark, this concept explores two sides of the same story. The gentle grace of the Seelie Court and the alluring mystery of the Unseelie Court remind us that beauty exists in many forms, and no path is more worthy than another.

More importantly, this gallery is a celebration of women.

Through every portrait, we hope to capture the quiet bonds that form between us: the friendships that endure, the secrets we trust one another with, the acceptance we offer without judgment, and the strength we find in standing together. Whether you see yourself drawn to the light or the darkness, there is a place for you.

At Mourning Dolls, we believe women don't have to choose between softness and strength, innocence and mystery. We can embrace every part of ourselves while celebrating those who walk a different path.

This gallery is a reminder that, regardless of which garden calls to your soul, we bloom brightest when we uplift one another.
