Dodie Ross Photography Fine Art Photographer - Specializing in Nature Abstracts, Floral Artistry, & Intimate Landscapes This is where I feel most at peace, most present, most myself.

I am a wife, a mother, a grandmother - a soul who sees with both heart and lens. I move through the world with quiet wonder, drawn to the places where light lingers and shadows gently fall. Nature has always spoken to me - in the rustle of leaves, the curve of a petal, the hush of morning mist. My journey with photography truly began in 2010, when I started capturing the delicate beauty of flowers

and the quiet magic of nature at the Maine Botanical Gardens in Boothbay. I had always felt deeply connected to the outdoors, but with a camera in hand, I found a way to bring a piece of that world home - to hold onto what I saw and felt in those fleeting, sacred moments. Photography became more than a creative outlet; it became a way of being - a practice of presence and gratitude. I am inspired by everything from sweeping landscapes to the tiniest details hidden in plain sight. Whether it's a bloom, a branch, a sliver of sky, or an abstract composition of form and color, each photograph is a reflection of the stillness and awe I experience through the lens. My work is an invitation - to slow down, to notice, to feel. Each image carries a whisper of calm, a memory of wonder, and the quiet joy of seeing something ordinary become extraordinary. It is my hope that in sharing these moments, others might feel even a small part of the peace and connection they gave me.

Tomorrow, Utah becomes home.

I will be standing at the edge of everything that feels familiar and everything new all at once. After 38 years away from the mountains that shaped me, I’m finally returning to the landscapes that always felt like part of my spirit.

And the best part?
I don’t have to walk into this chapter alone. ❤️

There’s something incredibly beautiful about finding your way back home while also beginning a brand new adventure beside the person you love most.

Open arms. Grateful heart. Camera ready.
Let the next chapter begin.

There’s something about Monument Valley at sunset that quiets everything inside of me.

As the light softens and the sky turns to rose and lavender, the mittens stand in complete stillness — ancient, grounded, unshaken by time. The desert doesn’t rush the end of the day. It lets the light slowly drift away.

This is one of those moments where you don’t speak… you just feel.

Monument Valley at sunset. Powerful. Serene. Eternal.
