Mama's Heart Photography Hobbyist. NOT FOR HIRE
Combining my spiritual gifts, love of photography and love forJesus! As a result, Mama's Heart Photography was born!

For as long as I can remember, I have always been the one asking people to stop what they are doing to capture the moment forever in a frame…(promising them they will thank me for it later (and most of the time they have). But it wasn't until I had the miracle of life staring back at me, in the smiles and faces of my children, that I appreciated just what capturing those precious moments forever r

eally meant. Through the years, photography has become more and more a passion of mine. For me, it is a way of escaping the day to day demands and pressures of life. I have said many times, it is therapeutic! Photography allows me to see things differently...and more deeply. I am both humbled and amazed at the beauty God has created in people and places. I have been known to pull over on the side of the road and start clicking, getting lost in the lens. No landscape or setting is safe! I grew up in a little southern town just outside the mountains of North Carolina, so naturally, the country way of life tugs at my heart strings. Now, as a mother of two, I long for the days I spent front porch sitting, swinging from a knotted rope and walking barefoot thru a creek. There is something so genuine about a barn in a field, a pair of cowboy boots resting on a fence post or a tractor sitting in a field after a hard day's work... it is nostalgic and stirs my soul. These images are a reflection of a time and place that illustrate a deeper meaning living within me. I want to share that feeling with others and draw them in and hopefully awaken something in their soul too. I have never had any formal training or education. My pictures are less technical but all heart...
Thank you for taking a look. I hope you enjoy my work. Tanya

Jesus came to Jerusalem in peace and humility, riding on a donkey...as the people cheered and waved their palm branches, shouting, "Hosanna!"
Jesus loved the people then just as much as he would days later, as they shouted, "Crucify him!"
Today we remember that, regardless of how we treated him, Jesus came anyway. He died to set us free from the wages of our sin. There is no greater love.

'Oh how he loves you and me
Oh how he loves you and me
He gave his life
What more could he give
Oh how he loves you and me

Jesus to Calvary did go
His love for sinners to show
What he did there
Brought hope from despair
Oh how he loves you
Oh how he loves me
Oh how he loves you and me'

Have A Blessed Palm Sunday Homespun Friends~

So yesterday I made some sweet treats for some of the most special people! And of course I had to take some pics!

Just a few additional thoughts…

Valentine’s Day may be over but our commandment to love one another isn’t bound by a 24 hour period on the calendar.

God’s Word instructs us to love countless times. In fact, Paul wrote so clearly that ALL we do should be done in LOVE!

Don’t store your love up for a worldy holiday one day a year - let it flow every day at ALL times! This is how we will be recognized as deciples of Jesus. I want to be known as His…how about you?

The new year always brings much excitement and anticipation of what is to come. It can also bring a great deal of uncertainty and anxiety. Sometimes I find myself in a place of waiting. If we are honest with ourselves, most of us don’t wait very well.
🙋🏻‍♀️

While I go to the Lord in prayer seeking His guidance, I often grow impatient for His answers and begin to make decisions based on my feelings and desires instead of His will for my life.

Isaiah 40:31
But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

This passage in Isaiah is a reminder that placing my unwavering faith in the Lord as I wait for HIS plan and purpose will actually make me stronger!

Hold fast to the promise that God’s timing is always perfect!

Trying out some fresh cut greenery this year for Christmas and winter decoration. I am truly amazed at how beautiful it is!!

Genesis 1:12
And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

What trial are you facing today? When you are in the midst of the fire, rest in God’s sovereignty. TRUST HIM!
He is fully in control and He will be glorified!

Daniel 3
King James Version
3 Nebuchadnezzar the king made an image of gold, whose height was threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof six cubits: he set it up in the plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon.

2 Then Nebuchadnezzar the king sent to gather together the princes, the governors, and the captains, the judges, the treasurers, the counsellors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces, to come to the dedication of the image which Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up.

3 Then the princes, the governors, and captains, the judges, the treasurers, the counsellors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces, were gathered together unto the dedication of the image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up; and they stood before the image that Nebuchadnezzar had set up.

4 Then an herald cried aloud, To you it is commanded, O people, nations, and languages,

5 That at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king hath set up:

6 And whoso falleth not down and worshippeth shall the same hour be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.

7 Therefore at that time, when all the people heard the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and all kinds of musick, all the people, the nations, and the languages, fell down and worshipped the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up.

8 Wherefore at that time certain Chaldeans came near, and accused the Jews.

9 They spake and said to the king Nebuchadnezzar, O king, live for ever.

10 Thou, O king, hast made a decree, that every man that shall hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, shall fall down and worship the golden image:

11 And whoso falleth not down and worshippeth, that he should be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.

12 There are certain Jews whom thou hast set over the affairs of the province of Babylon, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego; these men, O king, have not regarded thee: they serve not thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.

13 Then Nebuchadnezzar in his rage and fury commanded to bring Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Then they brought these men before the king.

14 Nebuchadnezzar spake and said unto them, Is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, do not ye serve my gods, nor worship the golden image which I have set up?

15 Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made; well: but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands?

16 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter.

17 If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.

18 But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.

19 Then was Nebuchadnezzar full of fury, and the form of his visage was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego: therefore he spake, and commanded that they should heat the furnace one seven times more than it was wont to be heated.

20 And he commanded the most mighty men that were in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace.

21 Then these men were bound in their coats, their hosen, and their hats, and their other garments, and were cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.

22 Therefore because the king's commandment was urgent, and the furnace exceeding hot, the flames of the fire slew those men that took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.

23 And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.

24 Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonished, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king.

25 He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.

26 Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace, and spake, and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, ye servants of the most high God, come forth, and come hither. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, came forth of the midst of the fire.

27 And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king's counsellors, being gathered together, saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them.

28 Then Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king's word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God.

29 Therefore I make a decree, That every people, nation, and language, which speak any thing amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill: because there is no other God that can deliver after this sort.

30 Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, in the province of Babylon.

I drove around the other day looking for some cherry blossoms. I miss them from my old neighborhood. Instead, I found these beautiful pink blooming dogwood trees. I actually never knew they existed. I have always loved the dogwood tree - maybe it’s because when I was a little girl, I grew up in a house where the legend of the dogwood hung in our bathroom. Its bloom has a beautiful symbolism to those of us who love and follow Jesus. I imposed it onto one of the pics so you can read about it if you never have.

Thankful today to serve a risen Savior.
May each one of you reading this be blessed!
Happy Easter!

John 13:34-35

A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

Tablescapes from yesterday!❤️🥰
