Getting some timelapse going on over here. I’m excited for a new space I’ve found to shoot in. It’s a room that was built inside of a building, many years ago, with the purpose of serving as a makeshift wine cellar. The walls are insulated with about 6” of insulation and of course no windows. This is perfect for this type of timelapse. No ambient light pollution and super easy to maintain a stable climate. You can see in the pictures I’ve built two copy stands to easily get the sensor plane parallel with the table surface. I’ve left the sides and front of the stands open to allow for lighting and for setting the camera up on a tripod in front of the subject (as you would more typically see) when the shot calls for it. These are purpose built from the ground up for the goals I have in mind. I have plans to add more moco as I get more of the wrinkles ironed out of this setup as it is so far. So far it's just the Stackshot being used for focus stacking on one of the rigs. Next I'll dust off the old eMotimo and try out running that with DragonFrame. Wish me luck that these two timelapses come out good. They should be done in a few short weeks 😉
