The best engagement sessions aren’t about perfectly posed photos. They’re about capturing your energy together — the chemistry, the chaos, the inside jokes, the places you’d actually choose for a date night. That’s the kind of stuff that makes your photos feel real years later.

So instead of forcing yourselves into a session that doesn’t feel like you… lean into your personality. Make a night out of it. Go somewhere nostalgic, playful, romantic, weird, loud, competitive — whatever feels most like your relationship. The more fun you’re genuinely having, the better the photos always are.

Kritika + Luke absolutely understood the assignment with this one. Their engagement session at The Garcade in Menomonee Falls was packed with nonstop laughter, retro arcade games, neon lights, and all the chaotic fun energy that makes a session unforgettable. These two brought ALL the vibes, and I’m already so excited for their upcoming wedding.

Honestly, my favorite part about documenting them is how obvious it is that they’re in this for the long haul. They are so deeply in love, so comfortable being themselves together, and you can feel it in every second of this session. I seriously cannot wait to share more of their story.

Huge shoutout to The Garcade for letting us create in such a ridiculously fun space. If you haven’t been yet, it’s unlimited retro arcade games for $20 and genuinely one of the coolest date-night spots around.

Shoutout to The Barn at Trinity Peak for being the perfect rustic place to gather, celebrate, and get married. A little nostalgic, a little unexpected, and full of spaces that make every part of the day feel cinematic. The perfect mix of rustic charm, laid back energy, and intentional design.

There is something special about a venue that lets people fully settle into the moment. Good food, good music, happy tears, dance floors packed with people you love… this place was built for memories like that. 🤍

At a certain point in the night, we stop directing and just capture what is. The energy. The timing. The people. The little in-between moments you didn’t even realize were happening.

Some of the most special memories aren’t aesthetically perfect—they’re raw, real, and emotionally charged in a way you can’t recreate. And honestly, those are usually the photos people come back to the most.
