So excited to finally wrap up Kritika + Luke’s wedding gallery. 🤍

Their day at the Delafield Brewhaus was full of so much love that I caught myself tearing up more than once while editing it.

One of my favorite parts of this job is getting to know the story behind the people I photograph—and theirs is a good one. I’m pretty convinced these two were connected by a red string all along… Kritika just had to fly halfway around the world to find out who was waiting at the other end of it. 🥹

After photographing love for as long as I have, I think you develop an eye for it. There’s a difference between two people who love each other and two people who have that deep, unshakable, meant-to-find-each-other kind of connection.

These two have it.

Their wedding was joyful, emotional, full of life in all the best ways, and completely them. Getting to know their story and document this chapter of it was such a privilege.

And now that the photographs are finished… I am SO excited to tell this story in motion. Their film is coming next. 🎥🤍

A moment for the details. 🦋

So much thought went into every piece of Samantha + Michael’s wedding day. The colors, textures, stationery, accessories—everything felt intentional and completely their own. But woven throughout all of those beautiful details was something even more meaningful: butterflies.

Butterflies carried a special connection to Samantha’s mom, who couldn’t physically be there that day. They appeared quietly throughout the wedding—in the place settings, her hair accessories, shoes, stamps and other tiny touches. It was subtle, beautiful and incredibly personal.

Knowing what they represented, I secretly made it my mission to find a real butterfly that day. And somehow, almost immediately, one appeared. 🥹 Of course, we photographed it.

THIS is why I care so much about wedding detail photography.

Your details aren't just things that make your wedding look beautiful. They're little pieces of you—your story, your people, your memories, and all of the decisions you poured so much time and energy into before the day ever arrived.

When I photograph the details, I'm looking for more than the pretty flat lay. I'm looking for the connections between them. The things that make this wedding unmistakably yours. Because when those photographs are woven throughout your final wedding gallery, they help tell the whole story—and preserve all of those little things you worked so hard to create.

And Samantha, this one deserves a special callout to you. You put your blood, sweat, tears and SO much love into creating this wedding, and girl… IT SHOWED. Every little piece came together so beautifully, and getting to document all of that intentionality was seriously such a treat.

So please give this bride some love because she absolutely freaking killed it. 👏🦋

Fall engagement season is almost here. 🍂❤️

And I had to throw it back to Hanna + Thomas because THIS is exactly why I love fall engagement sessions in Wisconsin.

The crisp reds, changing leaves, cozy layers, warm light and that slightly moodier, romantic feeling that only happens for a few weeks every year. Their session felt like fall without feeling overly “fall themed”—just the two of them surrounded by all that gorgeous color.

Fast forward to this June: these two officially got married (!!) and have since packed up and started their next chapter together in Texas. 🥹 Hanna + Thomas have genuinely been one of my favorite couples to photograph, so while I’m ridiculously happy for them, I’m also a little salty that Texas stole them from me. 😂 It felt like the perfect time to pull their engagement photos back out and celebrate where this part of their story started.

And now I’m officially ready for Wisconsin to start changing colors again. 🍁

Months of planning. A million tiny decisions. And then suddenly… it all comes together. 🤍

Wedding detail flat lays are one of my favorite—and most important—parts of photographing a wedding day. They bring all of those little choices you spent months making into one beautiful frame: the invitations, rings, jewelry, perfume, florals, heirlooms, textures and tiny personal touches.

Individually, they’re details. Together, they tell a story.

They capture the colors and design of your wedding, but more importantly, they preserve the things that made it uniquely yours—the pieces you chose because they meant something to you, the details that reflected your personalities, and the little things you might otherwise forget years from now.

Because wedding photography isn't only about documenting what happened. It's about preserving the entire world you created around your day. ✨

One of my favorite things about this job is the people we get to meet. 🤍 I truly believe the strongest marriages start with an incredible friendship, and it's one of the very first questions I ask every couple before they book with us: Are you best friends? Because the secret to photos that feel effortless isn't posing—it's chemistry. It's being able to laugh together, be goofy, trust each other, and simply enjoy the moment. As a husband-and-wife team, we know that's where the magic happens, and it's an absolute honor to capture it. 🫶

🎶 Going to the chapel... and we're gonna get married.

There is just something about an intimate wedding that hits differently. Fewer people. Less rushing. More time to breathe, soak it all in, and create. It means chasing the sunset instead of watching the clock, playing with dramatic lighting after dark, wandering the grounds because something catches your eye, and turning simple moments into something cinematic.

Ashley & Zach's day had all of those vibes. A tiny white chapel tucked into Northern Wisconsin. Golden hour that seemed to last forever. Romantic light wrapping around every moment. And a night that ended beneath a canopy of twinkling lights that looked straight out of a movie.

These are the weddings that remind me it isn't about how big the celebration is—it's about creating space to be present with the people you love and making images you'll never stop coming back to.

Safe to say... intimate weddings will always have my heart. Especially this one 🫶🤍✨
