I had the sweetest opportunity to take photos of two of my greatest friends from middle school.

It’s so funny because they didn’t start their relationship until after we graduated high school, but we all knew way before they did that they would make the perfect couple!

It has been so special getting to watch their love grow and, even more so, watching their beautiful family grow year after year. Now they’re getting ready to welcome another sweet little boy, and I cannot wait to meet him! 🩵

So thankful I get to capture these special seasons for people who have been such a big part of my life. 📸✨

This sweet couple, a sunflower field, and a summer rain shower made for the perfect combination. There’s just something about the way they look at each other—you can feel the chemistry through the photos. ✨

Some family sessions just hit a little differently.

This sweet little boy was at the beach for the very first time his tiny toes touching the sand, the waves rolling in, and his family right there beside him to make the memory even sweeter.

But tucked into these photos is another story that makes my heart ache in the sweetest way.

His family brought along their sweet 13-year-old pup Hope because they wanted her to enjoy the beach at least one more time. After 13 years of being part of this family, she deserved to have one more sandy-pawed adventure with the people she’s loved all these years along with her human and fur brother.

And somewhere between those two moments is everything that makes life so beautiful. The seasons change. Babies grow. Our dogs get older. And before we know it, the moments we wish we could go back to are the ones happening right in front of us.

So take the pictures. Bring the dogs. Let the baby’s toes get sandy. Hold onto the messy, imperfect, ordinary moments because one day, those will be the moments you treasure most.

How incredibly sweet is this family? I’m so thankful I got to freeze this little piece of their story in time.
