Bonobos are highly intelligent, extremely social great apes. They live in very cooperative and peaceful groups, known as troops, with as many as 70 members, but 15 to 30 is most common. Their fluid social structure is known as fission-fusion, which means they may come together in various sized groups, or separate for different activities, different times of year, and depending on who is available to "hang out" with. The color pattern of mandrill is directly related to the social behavior of the animal. Thus, when the primate is excited, its overall coloration becomes considerably brighter: it displays red spots on its wrists and ankles and a blue chest. Additionally, the blue colored pad on its buttocks becomes more vivid.

The Eagles were plentiful in Ketchikan. This was taken at a beach we went to were they come to feed. We were told we may be able to see them diving for fish and fighting over them. We did see these things but I wasn't prepared for how close they would be to us and how fast they were. You could hear the wind off them as they flew by. I missed alot of good shots because I only took my telephoto lens. Live and Learn.
