You’ll never get today back, as much as we want to. Capture the photos, remember the moments, cherish the memories. From your cell phone, a digital camera, a disposable camera, or a professional…it doesn’t matter-just take the photo.

Family photos aren’t just for today — they’re for the little girls who will one day look back and remember how deeply they were loved.

Let’s capture the hugs, the laughter, the running through the field barefoot, and the generations standing together in one frame. Because those moments matter.

And this sweet session...was powered by M&Ms. 😆
We aren't above bribery here. 🤷‍♀️

🚩 Red Flag or nah? 🚩

There’s a lot of debate in the photography world about hiding children’s faces online.

Some say covered faces devalue the work.
Some say it’s easier to just not post those images at all.
Some argue photographers own the rights and should be able to share whatever they want.

But honestly? I think we should normalize families making the choice to protect their identity online while still being able to share their lives, memories, and moments in a way that feels safe to them.

This isn’t about marketing.
It isn’t about algorithms.
It isn’t about “getting the shot seen.”

It’s about human connection. It’s about trust. It’s about respecting families and their boundaries, regardless of their reasoning.

Maybe they work in a field where privacy matters.
Maybe they’ve experienced trauma.
Maybe they simply don’t want their children growing up with a large digital footprint before they’re old enough to consent to it.
And honestly? They don’t owe anyone an explanation.

Photos still hold meaning even if a face isn’t shown. Sometimes they hold even more. Tiny hands wrapped around mom’s finger, the back of a child’s head leaning into dad’s shoulder, the movement, the emotion, the connection — that’s still their story.

I have no problem respecting those wishes. Families deserve to feel safe, seen, and honored in the way they choose to share their memories. 🤍

And if that "devalues" my work, then that's a hill I'm willing to die on.

Nope, I don’t cry while editing Homecoming Sessions. 🥹

Okay… maybe I make it through the session without tears, but editing them? That’s a different story. Just ask my husband.

These sessions hold such a special place in my heart as a military spouse myself.
We’ve lived this.
We’ve stood in the waiting.
We’ve counted down the days.
And there is truly nothing like the feeling of finally having your person home safely again.

Moments like these are more than photos — they’re relief, reunion, love, and home all wrapped into one.

Thank you for your service, sir. We are so grateful you are home. 🇺🇸

Mommy and Me minis are a wrap, and what a blast we had! 🎨

My trusty sidekick, aka my husband, had been hyping up our son the entire photoshoot, telling him his turn was coming. So, when I wrapped up the last session, he jumped in and said it was our turn. Too bad he has no clue how to use my “fancy camera”, so he had to settle for my phone instead. Still, the memories we made are totally worth it.

I'm super grateful to have a hubby who's always got my back, even if you guys don't get to see all the behind-the-scenes stuff he does for my business. He's my go-to guy at all my minis, always ready to lend a hand.

Last night, he captured some amazing moments of pure fun and connection between me and our son. Little did my son know, I wasn't exactly going for a masterpiece with that paintbrush. His face lit up with joy, and those giggly squeals 🥹 when I caught him with the brush were absolutely priceless.

Thanks, babe. 😘

I can’t wait to share these sessions with y’all soon!!😍

Good morning to YOU and these two adorable little rays of sunshine!
