2 Brooklyn born, Martha’s Vineyard based creators, Ilao Finley Jackson and Kehinde (Kye) Howell established So Focused Photography in 2011. Ilao started video-graphing as a teenager, filming teenage life in New York and summers on Martha’s Vineyard. Kye started in music as well as modeling for a New York agency. We consider Martha’s Vineyard our second home and started permanent residency after 20
10. We began our photography with landscapes and slowly moved towards portraitures, editorials, events and weddings. Our work has been featured in The Vineyard Gazette, Martha’s Vineyard Times, MV Museum, Ebony.com, Reagan. International Airport, LA Opera and other local and national publications. Our passion as So Focused Photography is to present works that highlight the diversity of Martha’s Vineyard and the world.
