Fall in the air, beauty all around us, the late Rich Mullins (who passed 26 years ago yesterday) and my Birthday! All of this is part of my why for this page, for Misty_Untethered!!
I reference my mom’s tribute, her Birthday wishes. Here’s what she said, and I couldn’t agree more! Go love someone in a big way today!
“It's September 20th. A very special day all should remember. Yes, indeed. A holiday should be proclaimed to honor the fact that on September 20th Misty Dawn (my daughter) was born.
The world hasn't been the same since and every person whose life she touches knows it's true because in some subtle (or not) way their life becomes brighter, richer, and they are given a chance to see it from a new perspective. The Misty-perspective!
Very early in her life Misty memorized 1st Corinthians 13 that describes love and determined to make it her own.
Misty, there may be times you think you've fallen short of your love-goal, but it wasn’t for lack of trying and it wasn't because your heart was hard...more likely it was because you gave more than was possible--more than the other person could receive.
So, in honor of Misty and the 20th of September, y'all go out and love someone today. Love until it hurts.
