The Simsbury Camera Club, located in Simsbury, Connecticut, was formed in 1955 and has been in operation for over 60 years. Rather, it is open to the general public. The Simsbury Camera Club is a friendly (and very talented!) group interested in enhancing the photographic skills of our members through education. Mark you calendar! The first Library Lecture of the 2026-2027 season will be on October 7, 2026. Join the Simsbury Camera Club and Nanci Ori, a fine art photographer, author, and educator, for an insightful lecture on "The Power of Color". Nanci will discuss topics related to Color Theory and their role in photography.

Simsbury Camera Club member, Jim Kahnweiler, is our featured photographer for the month of September. Visit the Simsbury Public Library this month to see Jim’s display titled "Retrospective", which includes images created from 1978 to 2025. Jim is a former newspaper reporter and photojournalist and the images displayed represent a sampling of his personal work.

We are delighted to share that club members, Janice Oliveri and Frank Zaremba, had winning images in a photo contest hosted by Ripley Waterfowl Conservancy.

Janice's and Frank's winning photos are featured in Ripley's 2027 wall calendar. Each month showcases a different bird species found at the conservancy. Congratulations Janice and Frank!

This past week, our club photographers took "back-to-school" photos for more than 30 children at the Simsbury Public Library. We thank all the families that participated. Here are some wonderful images of the kids, captured by our SCC photographers.

We still have slots open for Back to School photos for children in grades PreK-6! Call 860-658-7663 option 4 to sign up. There is a $10 fee per child that will be given to the Simsbury Camera Club on the date of the event.

The Simsbury Camera Club's exhibit at Lost Acres Vineyard ends today. We thank Lost Acres Vineyard for hosting the SCC and we can't wait to return in 2027!

There are just a few days left to see the Simsbury Camera Club photography show at Lost Acres Vineyard. The last day of the exhibit is August 9th. Visit the vineyard's Tasting Room Gallery THIS WEEKEND during open hours on Friday (12-7pm), Saturday (12-6pm), and Sunday (12-5pm) to see the show.🍷

The Simsbury Camera Club photography show at Lost Acres Vineyard continues through August 9th. Visit the vineyard's Tasting Room Gallery this coming weekend during open hours on Friday (12-7pm), Saturday (12-6pm), and Sunday (12-5pm) to see the show.🍷
