I love the way you can see the excitement and giddiness on Emily and Scotty’s faces throughout these photos. These are their engagement photos and they quite literally can’t wait to marry one another.

And man do I love a candid, cinematic-looking photo, but I also just love some of these classic photos of them looking at the camera. I imagine them being the photos their parents print out and put up on the fridge, and the ones they may even show their own grandkids one day.

I met Carrie and Billy on a trail on a misty afternoon this Fall. I had the privilege of filming their elopement in the North Cascades a little over 2 years ago, and now here we were in an old growth forest taking photos of their family of 3!

It’s always been one of my favorite parts of being a photographer, getting to continually document couple’s milestones and watch a family grow.

I’m beginning to book out for late spring and summer family sessions, and looking forward to spending more time down forested trails, watching birds, pointing our berries and watching the sunset with sweet little growing families.
