I am making some changes to my B&W Personality Portrait pricing this fall, and I could not be more excited to share them with you.

Starting Fall 2026, children's personality portrait sessions are moving to a per child model at $299 per child. That is $100 less than before, and a structure that just feels right to me. Over the years I have photographed families with one child and families with several, and I wanted a pricing model that feels fair and flexible for all of you, no matter your family size. Each session includes 5 images, with the option to add a larger collection if you want it, though it is never required.

And for my B&W Family Personality Portrait sessions, the price stays the same but your included downloads are doubling from 5 to 10. Because more memories to keep just makes sense.

I have been wanting to make these adjustments for a while now, and fall 2026 felt like the perfect time to do it.

This work means so much to me, and making it more accessible for the families I love photographing is something I genuinely wanted to do.

Hands the size of a walnut.

Feet you could hold in your palm.

A nose that will look completely different by Christmas.

This is why detail shots matter.

Not because they are pretty (though they are), but because the human brain is genuinely not built to hold onto this level of tiny.

You will forget. The photos will not.

Every lifestyle newborn session I do includes time set aside specifically for these images, because they deserve their own quiet moment in the frame.

Real talk about family sessions...

I am never going to make you stand stiff and stare at the camera the whole time.

Yes, we do posed portraits. You need those. They are the ones that end up framed and passed down. But some of my favorite images from any session are the ones nobody planned.

A kid mid-laugh. Someone sneaking a squeeze. The chaos that breaks out the second I say "okay we're done" and somehow it is the best shot of the day.

So we do both. Always.

It makes the gallery feel like your actual family, not just a version of your family that was on their best behavior for an hour.

This is a partnership with online children's boutiques (specializing in timeless, personalized, and smocked clothing for babies and young children) but this event will be held at a private residence. There may or may not be some super cute smocked and monogramed goodies from the stores to shop the day of the event.

Can I tell you something that took me a while to understand?

Every year, your child becomes someone new. And while that is a beautiful thing, it also means you are quietly saying goodbye to who they were. The baby version. The three year old version. The gap toothed smile version. The one who still needed you for everything version.

Those versions do not come back.

What does come back? The photos. The ones where you are actually in them, not just behind the camera. The ones that prove you were present for all of it.

One day you will hold this photo next to their high school senior portrait and you will not be able to breathe.

The black graduation smock. The pearls. The little tuxedo. That little face.

Starting the formal graduation portrait tradition at kindergarten is one of the most meaningful things a family can do.
