All I can say is 🌟WOW🌟

A few weeks ago, we pulled a Jerry Maguire and asked you to "help us help you", our community. We asked you to bring us bags of candy to get your sessions on the books, and YOU DID NOT DISAPPOINT!

(Really though, y'all..I had no idea how much this was going to blow up. I probably dropped off 50 pounds of candy over the last couple weeks!)

To everyone who shared, encouraged donations, and participated by donating, we wish you a truly huge THANK YOU!

Not only were we able to pull of a wildly successful event for the kids, but we have been able to book TEN complementary photo sessions with local families and couples!

As much as we work, pray, and hope for great success in this business, the greatest "success" and reward is when we are able to share and support the community that supports us. I genuinely cannot thank you all enough for however you helped make this happen.

Special shoutout to our friends Allyson Avery at The Venue At Valley View Farm for sharing and offering their beautiful space for the sessions. Also, Nicole Elaine Gibson with NicoLux Photography for sharing as well as all her continued support and guidance. Always feeling thankful and blessed to have such extraordinary, kind-hearted, generous people in our corner!

Thank you all again for making this successful! We are already searching for more creative ways to give back going into this holiday season. So if you didn't get to book your session for candy, don't worry!

In Plain Sight Photos has one spot left at The Venue At Valley View Farm for a 30 min mini session Nov 8 at 1pm.

This session has been generously covered by this weekends wedding couple Galatia and Lakin. They are donating this session to a family who may want pictures but otherwise could not make it work financially.

And this is why I love my people. Our Venue fam takes one thing beautiful and runs with it everytime!

Today's theme is "faceless". Let's talk about that real quick. 🫣

In today's world, privacy feels more like a luxury than a right. It doesn't have to be that way. I have more and more family, friends, and clients who are choosing to live more quietly and privately, out of the eye and away from social media. They still book family sessions and have a photographer cover their events, while resting assured their photos are safe and for their eyes only.

So. What does that look like to a modern-day photographer who relies on a social media presence in order to grow and gain business?

Like this:
✅ All of my photos end up in my portfolio, but that doesn't mean they end up online.
✅ Clients are asked for express permission before photos reach social media or even the highlights on the website.
✅ There's different comfort levels to privacy, and I'm happy to accommodate! Maybe no faces, maybe not the babies, maybe just the details. It is always at your discretion before it's at mine.
✅ These are more than photos for advertising. These are you real-life moments of life captured. It's a privilege to get to share them with the world--a privilege, not a right.
✅ I take the time to meticulously hand-edit all of your photos. By not using AI programs, it's one more way to protect you and your family.

And for us photographers, it's remembering that just because it's not their cover photo doesn't mean it's not framed and hanging over their mantle. ♥️📷
