Yaquina Head Lighthouse ~ this place is magical

There is so much to explore while visiting the Yaquina Head Lighthouse. It not only offers this stunning landmark, but also amazing views, and lots of sea life! We have ventured to this place many times and we always seem to discover more! 《The lighthouse has been a bright beacon of the night, guiding ships and their supplies along the west coast since the light was first lit in 1873》

Devils Churn ~ scenic pathways display crashing waves showing the relentless violent power of the ocean against the bedrock.

This loop offers so much natural history under the constant pounding force of the ocean waves against the volcanic shorelines. Exposed beaches, wildlife, and tidepools offer visitors a variety of things to explore. This is just a glimpse of the beauty this hike has to offer.

God's Thumb ~ the definition of a hidden hiking gem

We followed unmarked roads and trails through a scenic loop that combined forest, dramatic vistas, and beach views. Dramatic cliffs drop away from a summit meadow that overlooks secret beaches, endless ocean, and one side of Lincoln City. This trail was steep, challenging, and incredible.

Astoria Column ~ a Crowning Monument

This was quite the adventure! We climbed 164 steps to reach the top of this 125ft tall column! It was very small, cramped, and muggy but definitely worth it! The view from the top is one neither of us will forget!

Spring time in Denver! This was such a fun day, we went to a free day at the The Museum of Nature and Science, little did we know it would be a zoo, so we escaped the museum to wander city park! Good thing we did because we discovered beautiful flowers and trees blooming for spring! !
