One of the biggest secrets to keeping your wedding day running smoothly is preparing for family formals ahead of time. Create a detailed shot list with everyone’s names, assign a designated family member who knows everyone (and isn’t in every photo), let family know beforehand when portraits will take place, and break larger groupings into sections within your timeline. With a little preparation, family formals shouldn’t take long at all and can be completed efficiently, allowing you to get back to enjoying cocktail hour and celebrating with your favorite people. My mind is constantly moving between emotion and artistry. I’m paying attention to every detail the light falling perfectly across a room, the movement of a dress, But beyond composition and color, I’m thinking about feeling. About preserving this day in a way that still feels alive decades from now.

Somewhere between instinct and intention, I become both storyteller and artist. I see weddings as more than celebrations , they feel like living works of art, filled with depth and emotion and my intention is always to preserve that feeling.

felt like one of those rare places where everything that inspires me exists at once fashion, architecture, personality, movement, light, history. Nothing there asks to be photographed plainly. The scale of it, the symmetry, the texture in the walls, the way couture moves through those spaces… it shifts something creatively. That editorial became a pivotal moment for me because it reminded me that wedding photography can live beyond documentation. It can feel cinematic, expressive, deeply personal like art that still breathes years later.

I’m endlessly inspired by fashion editorials, old-world architecture, interior spaces with character, and people who fully embody themselves without hesitation. The strongest images are never created from perfection alone. They come from trust. From couples willing to lean into feeling instead of performance. The ones who value creativity enough to let go a little and allow something honest and artistic to unfold naturally.

That’s the kind of work I want to keep creating art rooted in emotion and beauty, but guided by intention, collaboration, and complete creative trust. Not just photographs of how everything looked, but pieces that feel lived in, layerd and poetically their own.

My mental diaploge: I think that’s why I’m so drawn to photographing landscapes and old Newport mansions in black and white. The absence of color strips away the distractions the bright greens, the changing skies, the little imperfections your eye would normally linger on and what’s left is shape, light, texture, and feeling. Black and white has a way of softening what doesn’t matter and deepening what does. It lets an image feel less perfect and more timeless.
