This was such a fun weekend and I appreciate Hairier Jump Jets for having me out once again to shoot their trial, Flyball is such an electric dog sport and I’m excited to get to grow in my skill as a photographer and hopefully in the future as a competitor!

The HJJ Spring Fling Trial was a success! Thank you all again for having me this past weekend, flyball is quickly becoming one of my favorite sports and I’m looking forward to the next few trials I have on my docket this year!

Had to leave the HJJ Flyball trial early today to watch Justin Kraemer at his first home game with the Newport News Mariners against Norfolk Blues Rugby

Bayside Birding 3-8-26

Spent my morning walking from Grandview Nature Preserve all the way to Factory Point and got to play with a new lens I bought over the weekend, the RF 100-500mm f4.5-7.1. Struggled in low-lit situations for sure but gave me back the reach I was missing for hobby bird photography, looking forward to better weather and more days by the water this year

Birthday photoshoots are so much fun, even more fun when we get to spend them walking around the William & Mary campus and Colonial Williamsburg on a beautiful wintery day! Unfortunately the snow was lacking, but the lighting was not!

A couple of things: this is a new web platform I am trying out and unfortunately is not as user friendly as I wanted, so in the new year I will be experimenting with a new web platform.

In the meantime, it means all purchases will result in a .zip folder sent to your email with your digital downloads. This is a compressed file sharing option that works well for sharing large images, but can be confusing to navigate for the first time. Here are some helpful links to walk you through accessing your photos using .zip files:

If you have any issues accessing your photos using the .zip folder or would prefer a private gallery of photos to download directly from, please shoot me a message with your order number and I will send you a private gallery of all of your downloads, I hope in the future to have this as the default.

Also if anyone is interested in purchasing entire individual or household galleries from the day, please reach out, I’m happy to offer a heavily discounted rate for downloads of any individual dog or dogs of the same household.

A few weeks back I got to spend the afternoon with volunteers at Friends of Gloucester County Animal Control VA and photograph a number of their long term residents and adoptable dogs!

These are probably my favorite days, getting to spend some time and socialize some great dogs and also set them up with some cute pictures that highlight their personality that doesn’t always come across from kennel photos.

These are just some of my favorites, if you are looking to add a furry friend to your family this holiday season I highly recommend heading to meet some of these awesome dogs!

Big thanks to Abygail Clayton for reaching out and inviting me to photograph at the shelter! Looking forward to doing more of these in the future. If you are local to the Hampton roads and are interested in having a completely free shelter pet photoshoot, please reach out!
