This is it ✨ My wedding season is officially in full swing baby and I couldn’t be more excited about it! It’s been a long & difficult year-plus of rescheduling and just doing my best to be present for my couples through the covid-planning rollercoaster. Cheers to you all, you did it- we’re here! 🥂 and cheers to love, it always prevails. 💛

I have a few ‘goals’ when documenting weddings..
1. Create images that authentically represent the couple, their community, their connection and love.
2. Document images that tell the whole story of their day.
3. Connect with my couple and their community- share in their joy.
4. Be intentional in every way possible. In how I serve them, my interactions and in pressing the shutter on my beloved camera. The result of that last one is this first image. It’s a quiet moment offered up that truly speaks to my heart — timeless imagery.

I’m craving color 😍
This image is a personal favorite from Madi & Brian’s gorgeous wedding day. I cannot say enough good things about these two truly exceptional humans. LOVE, laughter, sultry eye locking 😘 adventurous portrait sessions, and one hell of a dance party — 💃🏻🕺🏼ONE HELL of a dance party!
I think what made this day so insanely special was this: Most of all, above everything else — the beautiful setting, gorgeous table-scapes, delicious food, epic dance party, it was the emotion of the day. Their love and the love of their community just pouring out of and onto the other, it was pure bliss that continuously unfolded throughout their day.

Last Sunday, September 1st. surrounded with the love and support of our family and friends, and I cried our way through our vows, slipped a pair of gold rings on each other’s ring finger and promised forever to each other.
🌸🌼🌻🌺
It was a swirling whirlwind of insane joy, loads of tears, love LOVE love, kisses, laughing, eating, singing, cheering and dancing the night away. To say it was perfect would be an understatement. We are floored, humbled, thankful, and SO ready for a mini moon! 💛

Joshua Tree, with all her otherworldly beauty.
This place is truly captivating, I spent the entirety of my time exploring here in complete awe of what I was experiencing.
I found and awoke a deep, insatiable desire to be and explore in the desert.
With her at once mutes tones, yet complete vibrance filling in the spaces everywhere else. From pockets in the sky to the tiniest of little flower buds. Her rapid moody weather, hot by day and cold by night. How in one moment she provides completely quiet stillness, and in the next her winds are whipping around you. The vastness, how small you feel next to her magnificence, her textures and sounds. The sound of my feet crunching the sand beneath my every step, and the clingy texture of the boulders on your fingers and hands as you climb around.
I’m tellin ya, for real! I’m hooked and I can’t wait to plan another trip back! 🧡🌵✨
Who wants to go? Plan your elopement or couples session there, take me with you. I promise we’ll make magic. ✨
One of these days, I’m going to stop sitting on piles of my work and launch something. Famous last words — one of these days.. hahah

It’s a moment away to just take it all in, a slow down, a moment of reflection, of intimacy, it’s a moment just for you two. And that my friends is at the core of what a wedding day is all about, I’ll just be there as your professional third wheel to document it all ♥️✨

This was honestly one of the most beautiful moments that I’ve ever had the honor of documenting. Victoria and Jeff planned a beautiful October wedding at, Buttermilk Falls Gorge! 🍁🍂 From the moment we connected about their day, I knew that we were going to be a great fit for one another, and omg-was I right! They are amazing and love led the way for their entire day. •

The Finger Lakes in Autumn is crisp, vibrant, and rarely disappoints! That said, Ithaca weather is anything but predictable and well, about a week before V+J’s wedding the weather was predicting 100% rain for 100% of the day. NOT ideal weather for a wedding in a gorge...

When V and I connected in the days leading up to her wedding she said “I ordered umbrellas!” And I reassured her that I was up for an adventure, rain or shine!

Okay fast forward: I’m walking down into the gorge in the pouring rain to get J in position for their first look, in a location that was so meaningful to them.
I asked him how he felt and he said something along the lines of — “ I feel great! I mean I’m standing down in the gorge, in a spot that’s so meaningful to us, in the pouring rain, waiting for my bride!? Does it get anymore romantic than that??” My response: Nope! It sure doesn’t ♥️♥️♥️

He’s set up and I head back up to hike with Victoria down to their meeting spot. While we’re carefully walking wedding-ready, down slippery-stone steps, holding umbrellas and all of our jazz V laughs to herself. I asked her “what’s funny?” She responds with “This would happen today, this is so us!!! — you know, Jeff taught me to love the rain.” I can’t even remember how I responded because there I was with the FULLEST heart, deeply inspired, humbled, teary-eyed, scared of busting my ass!! And most of all, honestly so full of gratitude that my ‘job’ puts me into a place where I get to bare witness to some of the most intimate moments of my clients lives.
The beauty of that, it’s unparalleled ♥️ .
