If you’re pregnant and stressing about when to book newborn photos, my answer is that it’s never too early (or late!!) to get in. I keep a flexible schedule because newborns come on their own timelines. Baby ends up being a week late? No problem! Baby is two weeks early? Let’s adjust! Mama is having a tough recovery and wants to push it back? For sure!

We’ll get you on my calendar, but we won’t book the studio or set anything in stone until baby is here and everyone is feeling happy and healthy. 🤍

This was the sweetest newborn session 🤍

Want newborn photos but can’t decide between booking the studio and doing them in-home? It all depends on your vision and priorities!

I love the studio because it has beautiful light all day long, and creates a timeless, simple gallery. Bonus points for not feeling like you have to clean up, and it’s a great little no-pressure outing in those early days.

But in-home means cozy vibes that feel very personal to you - the couch you snuggle up on, the rocking chair you rock your baby to sleep in, those all get captured too. Bonus points for not having to go anywhere! And I promise, you really don’t have to clean much. We just need one room and I don’t mind helping de-clutter when I arrive. No need to do the dishes or dust the baseboards.

Six months might just be my favorite age to photograph. They’re curious about everything, full of smiles, and starting to show so much personality. Most babies are sitting up independently or with just a little support, they haven’t hit the stranger danger phase yet, and best of all, they can’t run away from us quite yet. 😂
