This week’s photo blog - A few weeks ago unspeakable acts of hate and violence shook America. Gun violence seemingly ruled, resulting in the deaths of 13 innocent souls. People who were just minding their own business; and going about their own daily lives; people, who because of happenstance, crossed paths with a killer; people, whose only apparent crime was in being the wrong race or of the wrong religion. Ideologically, these people were internally dehumanized, villainized, tried and convicted for the unforgivable crime of being different (whatever that means.). Hate tends to carry its own logic and reason; its own thought processes that operate outside the boundaries of critical thought. But, we should never doubt, while senseless violence may shake us momentarily and cause the American people to sway from time to time; we will never bow to violence.
