ill Muslims hosted their first Be Social Event in NYC this past weekend. It was my absolute pleasure to host a dessert table. My inspiration was to tastefully portray the city that never sleeps. And what NYC theme party is complete without a city skyline and street lamp. The color palette was black and white with a pop of red. Design elements included: Sprinkles Red Velvet cupcakes that showcased "ill Muslims NYC", apple shaped caramel cake pops, dessert tent cards with the NYC skyline and a New York Times newspaper used as a table runner.

The Partyologist dreamed up a vintage style bridal shower to celebrate bride-to-be Rahat. The color palette consisted of soft pinks and a vibrant fuschia with hints of turquoise, red and gold. The shower was styled with fresh florals displayed in a tea pot and creamer, doilies, floral stationery used as placemats and mismatched tea cups and plates. Custom favor tags and signage with tea references were created by Pences Studio. Bose Tea Parlor hosted the event. Guests were treated to sandwiches, scones and teacakes.

This surprise birthday party was all about Maria's love of photography. The 3D camera cake was the centerpiece of the dessert table. Old school polaroid cameras and flash cookies were a great conversation piece for the guest. The custom made camera boxes were a big hit with the guests who were rushing to fill them with the yellow and gray themed candy buffet. Lastly, we can't forget everyone's favorite "oh snap" cake pops which were showcased in shot glasses filled with pineapple jelly beans.

There is something dreamy about this wedding. The purple hues, the arch adorned with eucalyptus flowers, crystal glass vessels and tall branch centerpieces all come together in a way that is chic without being overdone. These light and dark shades of plum work well regardless the season of the year.
