With antisemitism so high and the middle east crisis, I am mixed with emotions. Happy with some of the results and saddened by others. The question is where do we go from here. We want peace but at what price. I’m fearful of the future. I’m fearful now. During this holiday period, I pray that resolutions can be made.
Antisemitism is a disease and must be cured.
By teaching history, we learned the past and hopefully change the future for the better.
My work with young students, learning about the holocaust and speaking to Holocaust survivors is essential. Education, history, and life experiences will shape our future.
It is the young that need to pick up the gauntlet and work towards the future.
I continue my work with students, learning how to interview and behave with Holocaust survivors.

Antisemitism has always been here. It just seems to be accepted more and more as common place.
People don’t even realize what they are saying and the hurt it causes.
Years ago while at work I overheard heard a fellow woman employee on the phone telling her friend about when they go shopping they will “Jew them Down “. Meaning Jews are cheap and try to get a better deal. I confronted her with what she said. She said she wasn’t anti-Semitic and it was just a phrase. I educated her by saying it’s racist and wrong stereotypical and anti-Semitic.
She got mad at me and called me a racist. That is the usual response from someone who is guilty of all of the above.
As a Holocaust educator, I try to instill in my students, history and education.
By learning history, you will be able to see the future.
Fear and hate are not natural you have to be taught. You’re taught from your parents, your family and your friends to hate and fear.

learn what has happened in history so that we can make it a better future for everyone

Names Not Numbers has told the stories of survivors of the Holocaust.
I teach students how to behave and research history and how to ask questions when interviewing Holocaust survivors.

Let’s think before talking.
Stop the hate.
Wipe out antisemitism.
Just be nice.

A new school semester is beginning. My calendar is almost full for this month. Holocaust education must continue. More and more students wish to get involved with the Names Not Numbers program. They wish to learn to meet hola, survivors, and understand what and how it happened. I teach how to behave how to interact how to meet the survivors. I explain the basics of interviewing and how to interact with them.
With antisemitism on the rise, worldwide education is paramount to understanding history.
The more educated these students become the future maybe a brighter star for them to reach.
When you learn history, you could see the future.

History remains forever but it’s memories can fade. So many of the Holocaust survivors are passing on and it is so important to document their history and stories.
Names Not Numbers is that organization that has tasked itself to do just that.
Record history.
I have been asked many times how they could meet a survivor. The best was is to view their stories on Namesnotnumbera.org
These are interviews conducted by middle school students from Yashivas and public schools.
I teach how to interview and how to behave and conduct themselves with these survivors. I have been doing this since 2017 and it has been the most important and rewarding thing I have ever done.

Time never stops but history and memories stay forever.
A new school year is approaching and I am preparing to meet new students who will be interviewing Holocaust Survivors. Be them the children born during the time of the Holocaust or those who have actual memories it’s still the history that needs to be remembered, shared and documented.
I teach them not only how to interview, but behavior and how to present themselves.
Life lessons.
This will be a very important and busy time as we record our dwindling survivors.
Through education, reading and personal contact with history, we pray such events will never happen again.

JUST BE NICE…PLEASE
I am so tired of everybody being angry and mean and hurtful. When you talk to people all you hear is anger, retribution, and negativity. The other day I was out running and I stopped because there was a very big bus coming my way so I thought I’d wait. A young lady in her car was trying to get into traffic on a roadway, and no one would let her in. I walked out into the road and held up my hand to stop a car so she could get into the traffic. The woman that had to stop was frightening. A scowl and she looked like she wanted to run me over. The lady in the car went in to the traffic, opened her window and thanked me. Was it such a horrible thing to be nice? I looked at the woman in the car who was furious that I stood in front of her to let the other one in was appalling. I just looked at her and said be nice. It’s not the end of the world.
Just be nice… please.
We all get along a lot better with a smile and a wave.🙏🏻

Happy Mother’s Day
On this day, we think of mothers past and present and future. Those we loved, those who put up with us, and those who may never become. It is sad to reflect that on this day there’s still so much hate and antisemitism in the world. Just because someone is Jewish they hate us, just because someone wears a Jewish star they hate us. One side says the other hates Jews and Israel the other falsely claims how much they love.
Hypocrisy is running rapid at unparalleled speed.
These people, shouting and spreading fear and hate are not doing this on their own. There are greater powers behind them. The sponsors of hate must be found out and stopped.
Take time today and reflect about your mother. How she loves you, how she raised you and how much you loved her.

Stop the hate.

I send love to all the mothers in the world. Embrace your children and children embrace them. We are all they have and they are all we have.
A Blessed, happy Mother’s Day.

We need to keep talking!
We need to keep talking about antisemitism, hate speech, bias, and prejudice.
We have to teach the children, we have to remind the adults and remind the world what hate, lies,racist speech, and ignorance can do to this world.
It causes pain.
Antisemitism and hate speech is rabid within our country and around the world. And the question is, how can we prevent it or change it?
Education!
I prepare students to interview Holocaust survivors. Explaining how to learn history through research and study. We can understand the past, so that we can look towards a future.

When I speak to students and adults, I see in their faces the pain and fear.
In today’s world, it is uncertain to whom you’re talking with.
We have to be careful what we say because someone may not like what we say l, and violence has become a norm.

The lies keep coming, and people are blinded to the truth.

Let me talk to your group or organization, church, or synagogue. Let’s have a discussion about hate antisemitism and the fear that is prevalent today.

Anti-Semitism, and hate in the workplace.
People are relaxed around friends and family, who have the same opinions, views and talk as you.
But, many forget that when they’re at work, they cannot talk or express their views the same way. By saying hateful and anti-Semitic things, people are hurt. Many do not realize what they say and how it affects others around them.
Be careful what you say and how you act.
One day someone may say something that offends you and you’ll see how hurtful it is.

He talk and lies, breeds resentment, and shows ones ignorance
I am tired of hate, and anger and prejudice.
Be nice to one another, try to help each other. It will make you feel better. It will make your friends feel better and put a smile on your face, knowing you have done something good.

The holocaust not only bread, hatred, fear, and death to the Jews, but also to clergy, Christians, clerics, g**s and gypsies.
We live in a homogeneous world, embrace it, enjoy it, live it in peace.

By teaching Holocaust history to students and adults, maybe just maybe, history does not have to repeat itself.
Hopefully we can learn from mistakes made by evil, and embrace one another
