Before a single frame was shot, The Crimson Night Before Goodbye existed on paper

Characters with interior lives, an emotional arc mapped across 36 frames, & an ending I already knew.

This the part of the process few see.

The world-building that happens before the camera is ever loaded.

The film stock wasn’t a stylistic choice. It was a narrative one.

Kodak Portra 800 was built for low light, warm tones, and skin that breathes. It reads a room the way memory does; not perfectly, but honestly.

Every frame in The Crimson Night Before Goodbye was made with that in mind.

Every technical decision is a storytelling decision.
