D. Phelan Photography I'm a headshot photographer based in New York City. My job is to make you look like you, on your best day. This is why I have relaxed sessions in natural light.

You bring yourself, several looks and come styled as you would to an audition. Or a hot date. We talk beforehand to identify your goals, and before the session we develop three succinct looks and ideas we will capture during the shoot. I take care of the last minute styling and makeup additions/adjustments for the camera.

5-7days later, all your shots from the shoot go onto a private online gall

ery (which you can download from). You decide on and tell me your faves and I will retouch them for free and email back to you within 24-48 hours. Payments can be made by credit card, cash, or check, and are due, of course, on the day of the shoot. After today’s shoot with a client, she mentioned how complicated she realized a photographer’s job is beyond snapping the pic and I felt so seen 😭 But there’s few things I love more than the moment all the prep goes into place, and my client exhales and looks into the lens and the light, the composition,the peace and truth on their face all gets captured when I snap the shot.
And we look at the photo together and we go That’s IT. Best feeling ever ✨
Getting there and making it look breezy? That’s all in the magic ⚡️
