Havana Now My name is Adria and I take small groups of iPhoneographers to Havana, Cuba. I am a travel photographer and my medium of choice is my iPhone.

I take small groups, 4-6 people to the streets of Havana. I like to move slowly, I enjoy working with people one on one and i love mastering the skill that is my iPhone. I have had all the gear and the weight finally got me. For my creative expression - less is more.

These images are from 2019 and taken in front of my ABNB La Siguaraya In the world of playing street ball in Cuba this is pretty high class. Three out of four have shoes, the ball is “real”, there’s a a back board AND an actual hoop!!! In Cuba these are practically luxury items.

I have been staying in Havana Vieja these days as the electricity is a bit more predictable. I’m familiar with this area but when you wake up in the same place every morning you learn a lot about the comings and goings and THE LIGHT. This is where my nature as a creature of habit pays off.

It took me a moment to realize the significance of this image. It’s obvious that I’m shooting through a car window, and that there are reflections at play. I was so intent on getting rid of my reflection that I didn’t realize that the overhang of the building behind me was reflecting as the roof of the car. You can see the yellow details. I find this to be such a beautiful, and unique happy accident. And of course the boy gazing at me with no smile or peace sign is BONUS!
