TFW you can actually hear laughter in a photo 🥹

What a joyous session this was. And not just because Angie has been a good friend of mine for 10+ years. There’s something amazing about photographing your friends’ milestones, but even sweeter is capturing a love so pure and lighthearted and joyful.

Angie and John invited me to crash their family vacation in Hilton Head for the weekend. While there, we popped over to Savannah and romped around for 2 hours (hello prettiest street in America!) capturing some of the most colorful and heartfelt photos. I wish we could do this every weekend 🖤 And don’t worry - we took the lock off 🤣🤣

Can’t wait for their October wedding!

A cozy at-home session is just what the doctor ordered ✨

In a world of maximalism, fantasy, and surrealism, taking a step back and capturing life in a real way brings a sort of peace I can’t really describe. Having photos in your house, on your time is one of the most beautiful things 🖤 Looking for something more laid back than a creative session? Ya girl loves easy-going session days!

If the question is ever, “should I hire a photographer to take photos at my birthday party?” The answer is always “yes”!

I’ve been getting the opportunity to capture more parties and events lately, and that has been absolutely LIGHTING me up. You should always take the opportunity to celebrate but especially when it means celebrating YOURSELF.

Gimme a shout and let’s party our asses off! 😘🖤

For a good time call
Thanks for inviting me to the party

Receptions at restaurants >>>

One of my favorite trends (tbh it’s probably going to start becoming a standard) is having a reception in a found place like a restaurant. Honestly, it makes total sense to me in the first place especially when the vibes (and food) are as on point as they are .

This intimate wedding day started at the family neighborhood clubhouse with rustic accents and personal details. Golf course portraits followed (in the crazy winter weather that we had in early November 🤣) and a quick drive to our neighborhood restaurant, Garten. I love traveling, but having a wedding so close to home was so nice and reminded me how much this community has to offer.

Sharing a meal around candlelight, lighthearted and heartfelt speeches, and fun portraits in front of a neon mushroom mural (😍) really rounded out the day.

More intimate weddings plz!

✨35✨

I completed my 35th trip around the sun today (aka it’s my birthday). I caught some flack from friends for not celebrating hard enough and tbh, my birthday feels somber most years. This year, I feel like I finally got my feet under myself (despite it being one of the toughest years emotionally, financially, and socially), and I’m going into 35 with a renewed sense of who I am. I made the most friends in 2025 than I have since at least college and I’ve rekindled relationships I didn’t know I needed. I spent a lot of time crying but also a lot of time laughing and smiling. My heart is overflowing with love and I see the light at the end of the tunnel when it comes to protecting my peace.

My vision board for this year includes a lot of mantras on standing up for myself and finding my voice. I’m still learning and I’m still going to therapy which is one of the longest and best doctor relationships I’ve ever had 🤣 THIS is when my new year starts.

I’ve been through a lot of versions of myself and I’m determined to make this year’s version the best one yet. Whether you’re just joining me or you’ve been here from the beginning, just know that I see you and I love you. Happy happy birthday to me.

I’ll admit. It’s been hard knowing how to show up here without feeling performative or inauthentic. Honestly, I’m not sure I’m doing it right at all. All I can say is that I’m calling my senators, speaking out when I read something that’s incorrect, educating myself, donating to non-profits, and engaging in conversations. I’m also trying to be a good and decent human - which is more than I can say for our current administration.

In case it’s not apparent enough from my stories, none of what’s happening vibes with me. I actually hate it. I’m disappointed in our country and in our leadership and I’m absolutely disgusted.

This timeline sucks. Any tips for showing up online without feeling like a total fraud are welcome! And just to make it clear:

F*** ice. Abolish ice.

NYC, here I come!

Starting off the 2026 travel extravaganza in a place I love. Reminiscing on one of my favorite NYC weddings from 2025. Neon, alternative outfits, tears, and a whole lotta love. What more do you want?

This location is also one of my new favorite places. Seamlessly blending industrial, color, and cocktails in the heart of Brooklyn. More cocktail bars in 2026, pleaaaaaase!

HAPPY NEW YEAR ✨

2025 saw a lot of growth (personally and professionally) and realizations. Realizing that my capacity looks different than it used to (ya girl is not in her 20s anymore), sometimes you just need to ask for help (shoutout to Dr. Christy for listening to me cry on her couch every week), and rest is not something that can be pushed off multiple weeks at a time (who is rest?).

While I’m not going into 2026 as a totally new person (how boring!), I am trying to remind myself that a new year means new goals. Last year, my word for the year was intentional. I think we hit the mark on that and while I’m discovering a new word this year, I’m not completely letting that one go. I’m still going into 2026 trying to be as intentional as possible - with my time, my goals, and my work.

Regarding the cuties above, J + C are some of the sweetest people I’ve ever met. We spent a few hours together (as part of my creative session package) running around DC and doing all their favorite things. These city sessions are becoming some of my favorites (new package offering?!). I’m so excited for their city wedding in April!

This year is already booking sooooo quickly - please don’t wait to reach out even if you are unsure of the date! Desirable wedding dates are absolutely FLYING and ya girl is buckling up 💅🏽😘

What better way to usher out a strange year than with a recap of all the non-strange things that happened?

Reflecting on the past year, this post is just the tip of the iceberg. Personally, it was one of the hardest years for me.

- I switched job roles for my other job in February while doing my old job role (2 roles at once for those of you bad at math).
- I managed travel for photography AND work. Sometimes doing both in one trip to maximize my travel time.
- I started therapy which has shaken up my mental health.
- I kept Hazelnut alive for another year.
- I managed to take a real vacation for the first time in 3 years without work or photography obligations.
- As a family, Evan and I got through a rescinded job offer, uncertainty, a government shutdown, and back to full time work.
- Even though I don’t do photography full-time, I had the best financial year in my business so far.

We can do hard things. We can do multiple things at once. We can BE multiple things at once. And I’m damn proud that I made it through the year, even when I felt like I wouldn’t. Here’s to hoping that 2026 brings creativity, intentional spending of time, better mental health, travel, relationship-building, and FUN.

Love you all. Thank you for being here. Truly.
