Most photoshoots stop at one idea.

For this project with dancer Alex Fitzgibbon, I wanted to build something that felt more like a campaign than a standard shoot.

The concept became:
“Elegance is Earned.”

Using Astoria 1 and Astoria 5 at FD Photo Studio, the story evolved from performance into stillness. From discipline into recovery. From the dancer… into the person behind the performance.

That contrast became the entire point of the visuals.

Nostalgia feels good & I introduced my little dude to Mega Man where he became a fan of this video game, so naturally I had to create something for him.

I’ve been wanting to create just for myself, no client in mind, no monetary goal in mind(well kind of), and I started making it a habit.

If the final result isn’t good, there’s always a new page in the sketchbook, it’s really about me feeling freedom of making stuff for fun.

It’s about setting a goal and following through no matter how big or small it is.

And in this case, I happened to use signature acrylic brush markers.
