Corrections, Reflections and a Tragedy at Sea -
Kimberly Burch deserved better than a slew of media sources regurgitating flawed information about her tragic death on board a cruise ship.

Perry Farrell apparently has officially lost his damned mind. Jane’s Addiction was at the end of “Ocean Size” when he started doing that thing that some people do when they are pretending they want to fight, but really don’t towards the audience. You know, “the shoulders back, chest out” move? He decided to take it to Dave Navarro, who was just there awesomely playing guitar, minding his own business.

Perry thought trying to throw a punch like someone’s drunk aunt at a wedding who harbors a beef towards your third cousin. Navarro has, “what the f*ck” energy in the clip and four security guards had to force Farrell and his terrible plastic surgery off of the stage.

The crowd never got to see what has been the last three songs of the set, “Go”, “Been Caught Stealing”, and “Chip Away”. Everyone came back out on stage sans Farrell for a well received bow.

Considering how Farrell was Captain Stumbles on stage in NYC Tuesday night, this is no surprise. He was so bad they couldn’t finish the set there, either, skipping “Been Caught Stealing”, much to the chagrin of the bros who clearly came out to partake in a geriatric mosh pit for the song.

My guess is that, like the NYC show, the rest of the band was showing annoyance with Farrell during the set and he caught Navarro in an eye roll or something. The drugs and/or alcohol that have been his besties for the latter half of the tour whispered in his ear and bam, coo-coo fist throwing ensued.

This is a fun story not only about Weird Al, but also what it takes to coordinate a large group (232!) photo. Group photography takes a skill set all its own.

All it took to capture the essence of Al Yankovic for a Times Magazine photo shoot was 232 fans in wigs, mustaches, aviator glasses and Hawaiian shirts (accordions optional).

Not photography related, but as you have likely sussed out, music is very important to me, too.

Local hero and vinyl enthusiast Nate Adams broke a car window in order to save the overheating records resting in the backseat.

by LJ Moskowitz There has been a war waging between East and West Coast music scenes that has turned ugly since late March. Unlike the rap war of the 90s that culminated in the deaths of Tupak Shakur and Biggie Smalls, this battle has been waged online amongst very opinionated 40-and 50-somethings r...

My review of the fantastic Retro Futura tour!

by LJ Moskowitz Back in the days when the “M” in “MTV” actually meant something, teenagers all over the country depended on a weekly syndicated show to get their fix of the newest music from the UK. Sure, kids in New York, Chicago, and LA had stations that played the latest hits from across the ...
