May travel diaries + photo dump! Coast to coast from a mini staycation in St. Augustine, meeting up with family in Vegas, catching up with friends in California, and trying to soak it all in!!

Just keeping it real- as a mom I really rely on my routine for stability and confidence so travel is always intimidating to me. is making life on the road and summer travel 100x more manageable with their Pico car seat.

*Especially when I’m out of my routine or as my baby is under his grandparent’s care one tip that helps us prevent him from being accidentally left in a hot car is to leave a stuffed animal on his car seat. When he is in the seat, we place the stuffy on our lap as we drive, which serves as a visual reminder when getting out of the car that he’s in the back!

It’s flag sewing season!! If you’re not up to make a whole flag quit start with a flag pillow case! It’s super simple and beginner friendly. July is approaching so time to channel your inner Betsy Ross meets Nancy Meyers aesthetic 🫡🇺🇸✨

Fabric for flag block:
❤️ Red fabric:
2”x8.5” (2 strips)
2”x15.5” (2 strips)
🤍 White fabric:
2”x8.5” (2 strips)
2”x15.5” (1 strip)
🩵 Blue fabric:
6.5x7.5 (1 rectangle)

Fabric for side:
Two 6.75” x 24” strips
Two 6.75” x 15” strips
(If using my measurements for a 24x24 insert.)

To figure the side for another size insert subtract 15 from the height and 10.5 from the width of your exact pillow dimension then divide by two. It’s best that the case fits snug on the pillow and ends up being about an inch or two smaller than the actual insert so if you cut the fabric the same as the pillow after seam allowance and sewing it’ll fit great! (This is one of those instances that you actually do want the case to be on the too small end if anything)

Fabric for back:
Two 24x18 rectangles (If using my measurements for a 24x24 insert)

Other materials:
- Fusible fleece to fit the pillow front
- Rotary cutter and mat or scissors
- Sewing machine
- Pins or quilt clips
