I grew up in Los Angeles in the shadow of Disneyland. It became my design and business school. I learned about master planning, traffic flow, themeing, architecture, marketing and, most importantly, the “big picture”. After college (design and theater), and a retail career that encompassed sales, buying and store management, I moved to the creative realm, doing freelance display at FAO Schwarz in
San Francisco. One thing led to another, I climbed the corporate ladder, was moved to New York, and eventually became the VP, Creative Director for the 42 store chain. Following that, I was a Marketing VP at Toys R Us. As a successful freelance designer for much of the last 10 years, I’ve designed for the big guys and the little guys, working on projects both large and small. Prominent clients include Macy’s, Legoland, the City of New York, Dollywood theme park, Kennedy Space Center, and the major film studios. I love what I do. When I’m not working on client projects, I’m still designing. Mostly on a theme park I’ve been growing and developing since I was 15.
