Our debut at the Meta Bette‘s Gallery exhibit in the World Trade Center was incredible.

We were showcase there for approximately two months and it was an extremely validating experience. I never thought in 1 million years I would have our photography displayed prominently in a place like the Oculus World Trade Center.

Through this process, what I’ve realized is we create experiences that are captured with photography and we’re not just doing photo shoots. The ability to capture people’s essence. Their connection & their thrive for life is a gift. .

Taking place from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Saturday July 27, 2024 this event promises a blend of digital artistry and live exhibits that cater to enthusiasts and the curious alike.
The Kink Collective, renowned for their artistic vision and expertise in the realm of kink, will showcase their talents through 20+ digital art screens featuring hundreds of captivating photographs. Each image, captured by Collective co-founders Cat Orme and Joshua Rodriguez, tells a story of passion, trust, and artistic expression.The highlight of the afternoon will be a series of live demonstrations, where the Kink Collective will share their knowledge and techniques in the areas of:
- Rope Bo***ge: Explore the intricate and beautiful practice of binding with ropes.
- Impact Play: Witness and learn about the controlled and consensual use of impact tools.
- Flogging: Discover the rhythm and connection involved in this time-honored practice.
- Mummification: Experience the art and technique of full-body wrapping.

This interactive multimedia experience aims to connect with visitors on a sensory level, fostering a deeper appreciation for the art and the culture it represents.

New York, NY – This June 2nd, in honor of International S*x Workers’ Day, the Meta Betties Gallery and the Kink Collective present a groundbreaking immersive art installation:

S*x Work Reframed: The Healing Power of S*x Work

What You Will Experience & Learn:
Witness live and recorded s*x worker scenes unveiling empowerment and growth. Immerse yourself in multimedia stories that illuminate their healing roles. Explore new perspectives and gain insights into the societal impact of reframing s*x work within integrative healing and personal development contexts.

Why It Matters: International S*x Workers’ Day commemorates the 1975 occupation of a church in Léon, France, by s*x workers demanding better working conditions. Today, it’s a call to recognize s*x work as a legitimate and empowering profession. This installation challenges societal perceptions and advocates for broader acceptance and understanding of s*x workers and their roles in promoting wellness and healing.

“When people talk about s*x work, it’s usually in the context of social injustice: poverty, disease, exploitation,” said Joshua Rodriguez, co-founder of the Kink Collective. “But when WE talk about the work we do, it’s in terms like ‘empowerment’, ‘self-discovery,’ ‘growth’. That’s a side of s*x work broader society rarely sees, but could hugely benefit from.”
“A few decades ago, all body-mind practices, from massage therapy to yoga, were seen as unsavory and unscientific,” added Cat Orme, co-founder of the Kink Collective. “I believe perceptions about s*x work are changing similarly. We are spearheading this change.”

Cat Pennea & I have worked on our programs for a number a years and have always been evolving them time after time.

Joshua and Cat have established a space dedicated to healing and personal growth right here in NYC. They need our support to make this vision a reality. The funds will allow them to acquire the space and furnish it in a way that supports safety, healing, personal development and growth. The undertaking is costly, but this space will serve as a home away from home for those who are dedicated to their own journey. They have been this safe space for hundreds of people, simply by virtue of who they are. And now they have the chance to create a haven that will match the love and care they show everyone they work with. The funds will also support programming, materials and staff, in addition to what is needed to maintain a space like this on a daily basis.
