I'm having a hard time putting into words how much I loved shooting this wedding. First, it was super small, just 35ppl. Second it was at Lambs Hill, an amazing micro wedding venue in Beacon,NY. Third the weather was AMAZING! Most people freak over thunderstorms on their wedding day, especially when you planned an outdoor ceremony. They saw the dark clouds, the radar, knew it was going to pour down rain and said yeah, we're sticking with Plan A! Clear umbrellas for everyone! I loved the spontaneity, the spirit...you know how good it feels to dance in the rain? Well this was like that but with LOVE. I just hopped under guest umbrella to guest umbrella, wiping off rain from my soaked equipment. I knew my lens was getting foggy and had rain drops on it but I loved the effects. ! So thank you Adriana and Ashwin for such an inspiring ceremony, some of my all time favorite photos I've made!

One day I'm playing drums in the D**e march with my band and the next day I'm photographing a le***an wedding on gay pride day. And not just any le***an wedding, one of the brides was raised by le***ans and her moms were part of the original Lambda Legal case to win the right to marry for g**s! For many reasons I got a little emotional photographing this wedding. It was so powerful to be in a room with different generations of gay couples. All celebrating the marriage of Aliya and Brianna. When they read an excerpt from the Supreme Court decision during their ceremony I don't think there was a dry eye in the house. We owe so much to that generation, all they fought for so we can openly and legally celebrate our love. Thank you to Aliya and Brianna for letting me be a part of your day. And as we chanted during the D**e march "YAY GAY!!'
