Requisite Hudson Yards Vessel images - It is obvious to me that this will be as popular an attraction as the High Line (NYC) and Cloud Gate (The Bean) in Millennium Park in Chicago. Highly recommended for the views, exercise and photographic possibilities - and admission is free.

During my travels today I came across a field of wildflowers which brought back memories of summers in other fields of wildflowers i've seen around the country in national parks etc. The location of this one is shown in the last image. Enjoy!

Attention NYC area photographers (amateur & professional); This Thursday, July 12 is the last time this year when the full sun will set directly down the street in Manhattan, a phenomenon called Manhattanhenge. If interested then I suggest being at the corner of Second Avenue and East 42nd Street where these photos were taken at about 7:30pm or so and staying there until the sun sets (~8:30). For those using an adjustable camera; my suggestion is to use a telephoto lens and to underexpose by *at least* 3 stops (try as much as 5) so that the sun does not blow out (go pure white) and then lightening the other parts of the image in post processing (editing).

One might say that my photography has gone to the dogs. Or one could say that I finally got a photo I took on the cover of something. (2018 DRU calendar) In any case Beile is a gentle giant of a dog and pleasure to work with - and Doberman Rescue Unlimited (DRU) is a very worthwhile organization.
