“Dear Disposition” part 3

Anxiety,

I wish I knew how to please you,
You are never satisfied.
You eat at my self confidence until there is nothing but table scraps and cartilage and then you take some more.
Id say you leave the wishbone but you’d eat that too wouldn’t you.

I wish I knew how to talk to you.
And tell you that there is no rush. There is no reason to hurry, you can rest now.

I wish you would rest now.

Depression,

I am tired of your hide and seek,
Sneaking a hand inside my purse and taking my motivation,
I know your favorite hiding spot is under the fridge.
I know you know I can’t reach down there
It’s time to grow up.
