Happy International Dance Day to the dancers, to anyone who loves to dance, to the people on the dance floor, to the DJs who make us dance, to the venues who host dance. ✨
These photos represent the fullest circle moment in my career. when i first saw back in 2018 with her Chun-Li video, i saw photos of her captivating movement immediately. i knew i had to get in the same room as her and capture stills of her fast-paced routines, but she was across the country in LA. over the years, i have gotten in the same room as her (shoutout to 🎥🎥) and have photographed her but it wasn’t official. with this recent workshop she did in chicago, i reached out to see if she wanted candids and because she recognized my name and remembered the photos i took of her in 2018 and 2022, she said YES. 🤯😭
i told her she is the reason i got into dance photography. i have built with the best of the best in chicago - shouting out .angelz .retro_ .reed and it’s all because she demands attention and that’s why dancers catch mine. photographing empowered women has always been my creative outlet so when i discovered dancersss, it just clicked. 🧩
to all my dancers i’ve worked with, yall keep creating because you can’t help BUT TO dance! it’s in your blood like literally 😂 i get it cause i vibe every time too even if im being low key about it 🙈 anywayy, enjoy this set because this represents my dream that literally came true! 🥹😭🫶

my favorite kind of a situation. kim said we needed a photo with Amerie, and instead of snapping something quick where they originally were at, i lead them to the closest story-telling backdrop. we used the texture of backstage as their backdrop and we captured our mini photoshoot that made it to both their IG profiles! 😍🥹📸👑

everyone in this post is special to me in some way. has put me in awe with her growth in branding herself, proves grit pays off, can tease and call me reeena and it somehow fills me with love lmao, you brought me to a unique experience getting married at the City Hall i’ll never forget, your talent and eye for hair+ constantly makes me proud to know you, your like my best industry friend, my touring mentor, i am so honored to photograph your milestone moments, you said you were going to be famous and look at you now, your personality lights this city, you are soo intelligent, i’ve told you this already the speed you move at i can only pray to have half of that myself lmao, and .naltsy my lil sister who id be so lost without. everyone who is in my life i am drawn to because you only try to fill other’s cups. let’s keep pulling each other up in 2026 🧗‍♀️🚀💪

ended 2025 by going as far south as possible to key west, florida 🌞
this year’s journey was 10 years in the making. i’m proud to say i’ve been a fully independent photographer since 2015, booking 100+ gigs this year, celebrated with a solo photography exhibit, and have nurtured so many relationships in this badass of a city.
