Sandra had an idea for a Pop Up Skate Club.
Her passion to bring back a nostalgic activity from a retro era was felt
when we had our consultation call. She explained the fond memories she had as a kid when she would put on her skates and jammed to a good song.
So naturally, she wanted to bring that same joy to her own community on the Treasure Coast. Of course some of her friends and family thought:
“That sounds like a lot of work.” “Where would you even start?”
However, Sandra had already been working in silence and what they didn’t know was that she had already filed an LLC for Ecstasy Family Skate Center, built a website called www.ecstasyskating.com and found funding to get the gear necessary to start her business.
She just needed one more thing, and that was approval from the city to be able to do business in an outdoor setting. She explained to me that she wanted them to take her seriously and to understand that she was a professional and a woman with a business ready to launch. She felt that for the upcoming events she was going to be part of she needed to make a great first impression.
So we planned the shoot from hair, makeup, a wardrobe consultation and creative direction, all of it included. So that she not only looked professional but her personality and the colors of her business could shine through her images.
It’s been a year and since then she has surpassed her goals as well as partnered up with other business that work synergistically with hers.
In this case a professional image/headshot can have many benefits but one that is often overlooked is the impact it has on the subjects themselves.
It can act as reassurance that they ARE as big as the dreams they have and the images they create become a solidifying reminder of that.
