Talent, class, and a relentless desire to be the best he can be. He’s always been an inspiration to me, and this documentary cements that even further. A few years ago I had the extreme pleasure and luck of photographing him on Arthur Ashe Stadium at the US Open. Miraculously, one of my images landed on the cover of the US Open Daily, the magazine that is available to fans attending the Open. It remains a career highlight for me!!! Working with Lisa and Chad on this 2-part portrait shoot was a blast. They wanted to do something moody in black and white so we had some fun in my studio playing around. I used two constant light sources, with an emphasis placed on creating drama through shadow and highlight. The next day we headed out to Calico Basin at Red Rock Canyon (Las Vegas) for something more colorful and connected to nature. TRUST played a very big role in this session. It’s imperative to have it from the start and to continue to nurture it throughout the shoot. Ultimately I selected these images to share with permission from the couple. ***ir ***irphotography
