I had so much fun shooting this. I used a frame in the woods and physically had my Model look as if she was popping through another dimension and I just thought it was such a cool concept. I did some work in post to remove some distractions and to edit some of the contrasts, but other than that, this is what it looks like

I always feel such a great sense of honor when I am given the opportunity to photograph a Generational Portrait. Knowing that a photograph I took will be cherished by a family for multiple generations makes me feel so honored. A lot of people have head shots and self portraits but they don’t have portraits of their grandparents or grand aunts and grand uncles with their multiple cousins….Maybe you have some shaky iPhone photos ,maybe you have some barbecue photos or some photos of all the cousins in the basement hanging out …but they’re probably not photos you can hang over the mantle and leave on the wall for years to come. That’s why I always suggest taking portraits. I find that Fall is such a great season for multigenerational portraits and family portraits. A lot of family members usually come to visit around the fall especially around thanksgiving, they make great gifts for the holidays It’s just an all-around beautiful season for this type of portrait and I really enjoy taking them. I had the opportunity to photograph and her mom and sister in law .ron and their kids. And it was absolutely one of the most precious sessions that I have done to date 🧡
