Life doesn't stop. The emails, the errands, the notifications, the million little things on your to-do list. There's always something waiting for your attention.

Is it just me, or did everything become a pumpkin overnight? 🎃

Yesterday it was basically summer and today NYC is like, okay everyone, put on a sweater, grab a PSL and pretend we're in a cozy movie. 😂🍂

Honestly… I’m not mad about it.

Fall in NYC is one of those things I never get tired of photographing. The colors, the layers, the golden light, the little hands tucked into coat pockets…

First day of fall and somehow the weather got the memo overnight. 🍂

That crisp little chill in the air. The cooler mornings. The light changing.

There’s something about this time of year in NYC that makes everything feel a little more beautiful — and makes me want to photograph all of it before the leaves disappear.

NYC felt different today.

Maybe it was the sidewalks filled with kids heading to school, parents rushing with coffee in hand, buses packed again, and that familiar weekday rhythm settling back into the city.

Summer feels like it officially let go.

There’s something about the first week back to school that changes the energy of New York. The city feels busier, but somehow calmer too—like everyone is settling back into their routines while quietly waiting for the season to change.

For that first cool morning.

For the air to get crisp.

For the trees to start turning.

For the sidewalks to fill with leaves.

For sweaters, sneakers, warm coffee and golden afternoon light.

Fall in NYC hasn't arrived quite yet.

But you can feel it coming. 🍂

And honestly, I think that's one of my favorite parts.
