Happy to share that my "Conrad Weiser Homestead" painting (12" x 12" oil) from my time at Plein Air West Reading this June successfully juried into New Hope Arts Center's upcoming Liberty And Its Shadows exhibition from Aug. 29 - Oct 4. Opening reception is Sat. Aug. 29 6-8pm. 🥰✊

The latest mini copper experiments. Having fun playing with this surface, different shapes, and the choices of adding or taking away and either leaving or covering the red undertone. Each one has a different feel. 🥰✊

First pass. I'm super uncomfortable putting figures in my paintings because 1) I'm not good at it and 2) I generally prefer landscapes without human presence. However, this night scene of Heisler's Dairy Bar that will be included in my Roadside Impressions collection absolutely had to have the people standing around waiting for their orders. It's what I saw, so doing the best I can to depict that scene without being too precious and realistic. Going to let this tack up before going any further. The values work, so a good place to stop for now. 😏

Let's see how many sharp eyes we have out there in the social media void. This is the finished version of "Heisler's Sunflower Field," one of my Roadside Impressions collection (coming soon). I posted the on site version on my easel in the field the day I painted this scene - it's a few posts back.
