We have some very cool looking lizards here. This is the Red-headed Agama.
Native to sub-Saharan Africa, red-headed agamas inhabit rocky outcrops, savannas, scrublands, and urban areas, often basking on sun-warmed rocks, termite mounds, and building walls
They have been introduced to Florida, where they are established in several South Florida counties, thriving in the subtropical climate
In Florida, they are considered invasive, competing with native species and preying on small vertebrates and insects
