Last week, the Yulan Fire Department along with the Sparrowbush Fire Department and Narrowsburg/Lava Fire Department conducted a joint ice rescue drill during which they leveraged drone technology.

As part of the drill, YFD utilized their drone equipment to illuminate the rescue area, communicate with the simulated victim via loudspeaker, and dropped rescue equipment to assist.

We're proud to help numerous local fire departments and law enforcement agencies source, maintain, and train on their drone equipment so that they're ready to assist when emergencies happen.

Last week, we completed our monthly drone flight training with Ulster County Emergency Services.

Operators participated in a variety of scenarios including locating a vessel in distress, directing responders to the location of a simulated water rescue, and searching the shoreline for a stranded patient.

High winds made for complex flying and helped operators build confidence in conducting operations in less-than-ideal flight condition.

Teams also utilized the DroneTag Rider to maintain situational awareness and airspace deconfliction.

We pride ourselves in providing drone equipment and real-world training to help local first responders leverage drone technology to keep the public safe.

As our name implies, we’re based out of and provide most of our drone services in the Hudson Valley. When our clients need us elsewhere, though, we pack up and ship out.

We’re in Boulder, CO this week conducting visual and infrared inspections.

TEMPORARY FLIGHT RESTRICTION: Saturday, May 24 from 7:45am to 1:00pm.

For security reasons, a TFR will be active throughout the majority of the Hudson Valley tomorrow morning into the early afternoon.

Avoid drone operations during this time period - those violating the TFR may the subjected to FAA or law enforcement action.

We were recently contracted to conduct several drone flights around a residential wind turbine to collect high resolution imagery of damage that had occurred. The photos would be used by inspectors to help determine that cause of the damage and potential repair options.

Drones can provide a time- and cost-efficient option to traditional inspections and can improve safety by allowing people to stay a safe distance from potentially dangerous situations.
