🎮 SCHOOL IS BACK — TAKE LEARNING BEYOND THE CLASSROOM!

As students head back to school, teachers and staff are already looking for new ways to keep them engaged, inspired, and excited about learning.

Beyond the Game is a great field trip opportunity that introduces students to the world of gaming, esports, technology, content creation, and digital media — while building teamwork, creativity, and exposing them to real career pathways.

Schools can choose to visit a NOLAGROWN Esports Lab for a hands-on field trip experience, or have our team come directly to your campus for an interactive speaking session.

📚 New school year. New experiences. New possibilities.
🎮 Let’s show students where gaming can take them Beyond the Game.

🎮🏛️ GAME CHECK NOLA is back!

We’re excited to welcome Councilman Matthew Willard Matthew Willard for the next edition of Game Check NOLA.

Our youth interns will lead the conversation, discussing civics, community, leadership, and public service while exploring how gaming can create meaningful connections between young people and local leaders.

Then… it’s time to grab the controllers. 🎮🔥 Councilman Willard will step into the game and see if he has what it takes to earn the W.

Every episode is another opportunity to bridge the gap between youth and the people shaping our city—one conversation and one game at a time.

🎮🔥 GAME CHECK NOLA RECAP

Music, gaming, and good conversation with Pell! 🎤🎮 Our youth interns talked creativity and career pathways before it was time to hit the sticks.

Pell caught the W in FIFA… then doubled down with a bonus Madden 26 win. 😂🏆

2 games. 2 Ws. We might need a rematch.

🎮 Summer is in full swing at NOLAGROWN Esports, and our interns are already leveling up!

Over the past few weeks, our students have gone beyond playing games—they’ve been exploring the careers that power the gaming and tech industry. From learning about video game quality assurance and game testing with DAQA to building real-world technology, teamwork, and career-readiness skills, they’re discovering that gaming can be a pathway to opportunity.

Every workshop, every challenge, and every conversation is helping prepare the next generation of creators, innovators, and industry professionals.

This is what looks like. 🚀

Huge thank you to DAQA and all of our partners for investing in our youth and showing them what’s possible.

The future of gaming is being built right here in New Orleans. 🎮💻

🎮 GAME CHECK NOLA 🎙️

What happens when you hand the controller to a city leader?

Join us for another edition of Game Check NOLA, where our youth interns sit down with Councilman Jason Hughes for an honest conversation about civics, community, leadership, and public service—all through the lens of gaming.

Then… it’s game time. 🏁🔥

After the interview, our youth will challenge Councilman Hughes to a few rounds of Mario Kart to see if he has what it takes to bring home the W.

At NOLAGROWN, we believe gaming is more than entertainment—it’s a platform to build relationships, inspire future leaders, and create meaningful conversations between young people and the leaders shaping our city.

🗓️ Tune in and be part of the conversation.

We’ve been coaching esports at for a couple years now. But we always wanted to show that we could bring more than competition ... we could bring real learning too.
This program did that. Five weeks, real coding tools, real game development, and a final showcase these students earned. Partnering with and to make it happen for OUR school ... that meant a lot. This is what the work is really about.
