I am back from a great trip to North Carolina for the opening of my exhibition at the American Center for Photographers. If you're in NC the next few weeks, the show runs through March 29th and Wilson, NC is a wonderful place to visit. The gallery is beautiful and the best part was the depth of conversation I had with several people about their infinite love of everything in the south.

That love and appreciation really got me thinking. The result of that thinking is a new series simply entitled "The Beautiful South" - my ode to the visceral, weathered, and irrepressible mood that you only find in the south.

The first photograph of the series is above. As part of the series, I'd ask all of y'all to send me suggestions of places to shoot anywhere from Texas to the Carolinas to Florida and everywhere between. Looking forward to creating a series that loudly tells a subtle story.

Oh and PS, this isn't the end of the red chair series! I have a photograph I'll be sharing later this week that I absolutely love.
