Some weddings are more than just another gallery. 🤍

Getting to photograph my best friend’s wedding was one of the most bittersweet, full circle moments. I didn’t just get to watch her marry her forever person, I got to stand behind my camera and capture the moments she’ll get to hold onto forever. 🥹

I’ve had the privilege of being beside her through the ups, the downs, the heartbreaks, the growth, and everything in between… so watching this chapter begin was something extra special.

The day was stressful, chaotic, emotional, full of happy tears, and overflowing with SO much love; exactly the kind of beautiful chaos a wedding day should be. 😂🤍

Being her best friend AND her photographer for the day is something I’ll never forget.

Here’s just a little glimpse into one of my favorite days for one of my favorite people. 🥹💍

Congratulations to the newlyweds. I love you both endlessly. 🤍

I wasn’t planning on making a post about this, but after waking up to someone coming for me on my posts, I feel like I need to say something and be petty too since I never am. 😂

Apparently I shouldn’t be charging $40–$60 for sessions, and I’m “uneducated” because I use the terms “Pay What You Can” and “anything extra is completely up to you.”

First of all… MA’AM. 😂

This is MY business. I set my prices, I create my promotions, and I decide how I want to structure my sessions and word it however I’d like. You don’t have to agree with them, but you also don’t have to book with me.

What you also may not see is everything I pour into this community.

I offer discounted sessions because I genuinely want people to have beautiful memories when the economy makes photography difficult. I work around everyone else’s schedules, often putting mine last. I’ve brought my own kids to sessions, missed events, held babies, chased toddlers, and donated countless hours of my time, talent, editing, gas, and energy because I LOVE what I do and I love being able to give back.

So no, I’m not going to feel guilty for charging $40 or $60 for my work.

And to the fellow “up and coming photographer” who felt the need to come for me at SIX AM publicly over how I choose to run MY business… girl, you’ve officially been blocked. 😂❤️

There is room for ALL of us in this industry. You don’t have to tear someone else down to build yourself up.

If my business, my pricing, or my promotions aren’t for you, that’s perfectly okay.
