This session was beautiful from beginning to end. 🤍

It started with sisters twirling through the field, moved into family love and laughter, and then came a brave little burst of fun as two very excited big sisters helped paint their baby sister on Mama’s belly. We had worship music playing, little girls being little girls, plenty of laughter, and a family simply enjoying this season together.

The storm clouds certainly tried to dominate the evening, and we may not have gotten the glowing sunset we originally envisioned, but the love and goodness of the Lord showed through brighter than any sunset ever could.

One of the things Gabby shared with me before her session was her love for Jesus and how important her faith and family are to her. So it felt only fitting that after all the twirling, laughter, paint and fun, we ended the evening quietly—with this sweet family gathered together in prayer. I am so incredibly thankful for the opportunity to capture memories of this beautiful family. And, YES, I totally let the girls boop my nose with their loaded paintbrushes!

I hope my sessions feel more like a warm, fuzzy memory than simply a portrait session. Yes, I want you to walk away with beautiful photographs, but even more than that, I hope the time spent making them becomes a memory of its own—a little adventure, a lot of love, maybe a little chaos, and room for the things that matter most to your family.

The photographs are what we get to keep, but the memory of making them matters too. 🤍

Summer childhood. ❤️

Little boy, wet clothes, dirty feet, water hoses and absolutely no concern for keeping anything clean.

I don't need every photograph to be perfectly posed. Give me the little moments that actually look like *them*.

Because one day, this is the stuff we're going to miss.

Barefoot feet, wild hair, and that last little bit of golden summer light. ☀️

Nothing fancy. Nothing perfectly planned. Just childhood exactly as it is right now.

These are the moments I love to freeze—the little things that feel so ordinary today, but won't stay ordinary for long. ❤️

September evenings are open with Click From the Heart Photography.

Just a little boy and an old, one-eyed kitty.

Gray-C may be a senior citizen these days, and she may only have one eye, but that's never stopped her from talking our ears off or loving on us.

And Roux? He's always got time for a little extra love for an old friend.

It's the ordinary moments like these that I love photographing most. The ones that don't seem like much today, but someday will mean everything. ❤️

Family Photography Reminder ❤️

I blinked... and somehow they all grew up.
Life gets busy, and with each passing year, gathering everyone together for a photo becomes more and more important to me.

In 2023, I finally got all six of them together for a family portrait.

Then life got busy, and an entire year slipped by.

There wasn't even one formal photo with four younger ones.

So, in 2025, we made it happen again.

And Lord willing, I plan to keep making it happen for as many years—and as many of my kids—as I can.

Looking back, I realized just how much can change in what feels like the blink of an eye.

The days can feel long, but the years have quietly slipped away quicker than I even care to admit.

Please don't wait for the "perfect time." Don't wait until life slows down. Don't wait until next year.

One day, these photographs may become some of your family's greatest treasures.

🍂 My September books are officially OPEN!

If you've been saying, "We really need to get family photos made," consider this your gentle reminder.

I'd be honored to tell your family's story.

🚨SCAM ALERT🚨

You know what's terrible for a small local business owner?

Today, my plan was to create a reel about how quickly our little ones grow up and why those fleeting moments deserve to be photographed.

Instead...

I'm making a SCAM ALERT.

Scams are terrible for everyone, but for a small business, even an attempted scam comes with a cost:

They steal time.
They steal planning.
They steal energy.
They steal excitement over serving what you believe is a new client.

This one was especially convincing.

The "client" communicated back and forth with me, completed my photography questionnaire, provided what appeared to be a local address (which I verified on Google Maps as a real residence), and even attempted to "pay" a booking retainer through Venmo. Whether that address actually belonged to the individual I was communicating with, I'll never know—and I have no intention of disturbing the homeowner to find out.

When something didn't feel right, I stopped.

I contacted Venmo directly through their official support, and they confirmed it was a scam.

The "client" repeatedly insisted there was a hold on my Venmo account and told me I needed to call a specific phone number they provided to have the payment released. That phone number was not Venmo's official customer support.

I contacted Venmo directly through their official support through the app, and they confirmed it was a scam.

Always contact your payment provider using the phone number or support options found in the official app or on the company's official website—not a number provided by someone else.

As part of their investigation, Venmo asked me for the "client's" email address, Venmo username, or phone number associated with the payment. When I requested that information, I was told they couldn't provide it. Instead, they continued encouraging me to call the phone number they had sent.

Of course I didn't.

Please don't make the mistake they hoped I would make:

🚫 Never call a phone number someone sends you claiming there's a problem with your payment account.
🚫 Never issue a refund for money you never actually received.
✅ Always contact your payment provider using the official app or website.
✅ Never move forward with a booking until payment is confirmed.

If this post keeps even one fellow small business owner from becoming a victim, then sharing it is worth it.

Stay safe out there, friends. ❤️

April has been a full one. In between editing 65 yearbook images, I was blessed to capture this bright and determined senior session—and it was just too good not to share.

Joseph absolutely rocked his session! More to come soon.

For now, it’s back to the editing grind—but don’t hesitate to reach out if your senior still needs a session. I have just a couple of spots left before graduation
