Stopped by over in Brooklyn Heights earlier this week for an early ramen dinner after a Dumbo wedding shoot.

I went with the Red Tonkotsu Ramen as it was the first ramen dish listed aside from the regular Tonkotsu and typical Spicy Miso options. Safe to say the broth had a satisfyingly thick consistency which is my preference for Tonkotsu.

The side dishes didn't feel as fleshed out, particularly the wings. $9.50 for four little wings with the lime chili sauce definitely feels a bit hiked up in price. Just leaving that out as my general opinion.

The brussel sprouts were interesting. It tasted as if they were roasted and then drowned in a sauce, which definitely took away from the usual satisfying brussel sprout crunch after they pop out of the oven. I still emptied the bowl though 😂

Regardless, Kogane was overall satisfactory in my book. Will probably stop by again if I find myself wanting ramen near Dumbo
